Volleyball: Maggie Nedoma signs pro contract

Recent Ohio graduate Maggie Nedoma announced that she signed her first professional volleyball contract via Twitter on Thursday evening. Nedoma will travel to Clamart, France, to begin her professional career with Clamart Volley-Ball.

Nedoma began her collegiate career at Southern Illinois before transferring to Ohio for her junior season. In her first season with Ohio, Nedoma was named to the All-Mid-American Conference First Team and recorded double-digit kills in 22 matches.

The Brook Park, Ohio, native elected to use her COVID-19 eligibility extension to play a third and final year at Ohio in 2021. Nedoma was second on the team in kills with 377 and was named to the All-MAC First Team for a second year. She averaged 3.04 kills per set against MAC opponents in her final year with Ohio.

Nedoma played a key role in the Bobcats' offense. She earned the nickname "Thunder" because of her ability to strike the ball onto the opponent's side. The Bobcats will have big shoes to fill following her departure.
