Women's Basketball: A second glance at Toledo

Ohio is riding high after snapping its four-game losing streak on Monday night. However, its celebration may not last long. Ohio has to face Toledo (19-4, 13-1 Mid-American Conference) for the second time this season when the Rockets come to The Convo on Wednesday.

The Bobcats (11-9, 5-6 MAC) upset the Rockets at Savage Arena in their first meeting in late January. It was Toledo’s first conference loss of the season, and it remains their only loss in the MAC. Ohio will look to repeat history, even though it's on its last leg. Ohio has seven games left in the regular season, and it sits at ninth in the MAC standings. If it can’t pick up a few more wins, it will miss the MAC Tournament.

Here’s a second look at Toledo:

Toledo since Game 1

Toledo has not been defeated since Ohio came to town. It has won its last five games, however it faced both Bowling Green and Miami twice in that span.

The only team to give Toledo a run for its money in its last five games has been Akron. The 73-70 victory is tied for the Rockets’ smallest margin of victory all season.

Player to watch

Mikonowicz — Whether or not it was a fluke, Mikonowicz had 22 rebounds against the Bobcats earlier this season. The sophomore has not had a big night in a while, but she has the chance to do it again on Wednesday.
