Baseball: What to know for Ohio's series against Bowling Green

Ohio is rolling through Mid-American Conference play. 

It earned a huge series win over Kent State and shattered all expectations to rise to third place in the MAC standings. Ohio knew that the series against Kent State would be tough, but it prevailed thanks to its booming offense. Ohio scored 23 runs in a doubleheader with Kent State midway through the series. 

If its offense picks up speed again, Ohio may be on its way to another series win, this time against Bowling Green. Here's what to know for Ohio’s series against Bowling Green:

Series History

The Bobcats are 18-29 against the Falcons since 2006. The teams haven’t faced off at Steller Field since March 2018, when the Falcons won the series 2-1. When the two teams faced each other last season, Bowling Green won the series 3-1.

Player to Watch 

Krause – Although the Falcons have struggled to win games this season, Krause has been a beacon of hope. The outfielder has started off the season with 15 hits, five of which were home runs. In addition, he leads the team in runs and RBIs. If there’s one player Ohio’s pitchers need to stop this weekend, it's Krause.
