Salary Guide 2021

Search The Post’s 2021 Salary Guide

By Abby Miller | For The Post

Editor’s Note: The total earnings column has been adjusted to best reflect university employees' earnings for the 2021 calendar year after an error with data sent by Ohio University's Office of Legal Affairs. The Post's Editorial Board will be releasing an editorial on the matter Monday, March 28.

The Post’s third annual salary guide shows each Ohio University employee’s total earnings for the 2021 calendar year in the database below. Each employee is identified by their name, title, organization and total earnings.

All nine- and 12-month employees who were compensated by OU in 2021 are listed in the database. The total earnings are made up of each individual’s base salary as well as any additional university compensation they may have received. According to the datasheet given to The Post, additional compensation is “all earnings outside of base salary.” That includes overtime pay, early retiree pay, summer research, bonuses and more.

The second Salary Guide was adjusted for the university’s furlough that was enacted July 1, 2020. Data for 2021 includes furlough restoration payment, university spokesperson Carly Leatherwood said, which increases many salaries.

This dataset was obtained through a public records request to OU’s Office of Legal Affairs and sent in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

The Post released its third salary guide to provide these publicly available numbers to readers in an accessible format. In order to best inform the OU and Athens communities, a new salary guide will be released each year on The Post’s website.

Individuals can search the data by name, organization, title or salary in the search bar below. Click on the arrow buttons beside column names to filter specific records.
