Men's Basketball: Here's what to know about Marshall

Ohio has finally found its groove after a small slip during the beginning of its nonconference slate. It’s got a winning record and a solid rotation that can carry it through anything. 

The Bobcats are set to hit the road for the first time in a week on Saturday. They’ll head to Huntington, West Virginia, to take on the Thundering Herd.

Ohio defeated Marshall 75-65 in The Convo last season. Stellar performances by Jason Carter and Mark Sears helped lift Ohio over Marshall, but those two are gone this season. Combined, Carter and Sears scored 43 points for Ohio. 

The last time that the Bobcats defeated the Thundering Herd on the road was in 2011. The Bobcats skated away with a narrow 70-68 victory. 

Ohio leads the all-time series with Marshall 57-49. Saturday will be the 107th meeting between the two teams. 

Player to watch 

Miles Brown — Brown was named the MAC Co-player of the Week after he averaged 16 points per game in the Bobcat Battle. The senior is tied with Dwight Wilson III for the most points per game with 12.3. Brown is also tied with DeVon Baker for the most steals on the team with 10.
