Fresh Finds Friday: Noah Kahan, Cuco, Kenya Grace and more share new releases

Happy Friday! The end of the week means new music. That said, it's always good to listen to new tunes throughout the week and into the weekend.

While everyone has their favorite genre of music, we've made a series of songs that will appeal to any mood or preference. Below are new songs from the past week that are perfect for walking to class, working out at the gym, sitting around your dorm or cranking out those last-minute papers.

Here are five new songs you should check out:

“Planet Express” by Cuco

Cuco shares a tiny little taste of what’s to come on “Planet Express,” which will be a part of his upcoming EP, “Hitchhiker,” set to release Nov. 10. Much like his previous album, “Fantasy Gateway, he creates his creative reality through his music after experiencing an injury that forced him to reckon with his own mortality. This psychedelic creative reality can be witnessed in the music video, which you can watch here.

“She Calls Me Back” by Noah Kahan, Kacey Musgraves

Noah Kahan has been busy as of late after releasing the extended version of his hit album "Stick Season" earlier this year. Kahan has also released re-recordings of some of the fan favorites such as "Dial Drunk," which was re-released with Post Malone, and now "She Calls Me Back," featuring country singer Kacey Musgraves. Musgraves’ vocals add a sense of solace to the lyrics: "Then you don't know how well I sleep / You love me, and I don't know why / I only call you once a week."

“Only In My Mind” by Kenya Grace

Southampton-based singer-songwriter Kenya Grace has recently become quite the hit. Her debut single, “Strangers,” achieved over a million streams in less than 24-hours upon its release in September. Now, Grace returns with her new single, “Only In My Mind.” Similar in its production style with classic drum and bass and ethereal vocals, “Only In My Mind” is a journey of love misunderstood. You can catch Kenya Grace on tour all over Europe, the U.S. and Canada.

“It’s You (feat. BIA)” by RealestK, BIA

Two worlds collide as alt-R&B singer RealestK teams up with rapper BIA for his new song, “It’s You.” It serves as his latest teaser from his upcoming EP, “Real World,” which is set to release Oct. 20. On “It’s You,” RealestK has a potential romantic interest and is ready to profess his feelings. Regarding the song, ReleastK told Rated R&B, “I’ve always heard the saying temptations are everywhere but never realized until I had that one love on my mind how true that statement was.” This track was followed by “Better” and “Stranger.” All three will appear on “Real World.”

“Out of Luck” by Tkay Maidza, Lolo Zouaï, Amber Mark

Tkay Maidza, the Zimbabwean-born, Australian-raised rapper and producer who just finished tours with Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Lizzo, released her new single “Out of Luck.” A track described as an “unapologetic song about moving on from a time waster, and almost laughing at the lengths they go to try to return. It’s over.” You can expect “Out of Luck” on her forthcoming album, “Sweet Justice,” set to release Nov. 3.
