The Ohio University Center for Student Engagement & Leadership will have a petting zoo on Morton Field. The petting zoo is available for all students between 5-8 p.m.

The University Program Council will be running a field day event at Paw Print Park from 4-7 p.m. They will have a bounce house, obstacle course, yard games and other events set up for students to enjoy.

Thursday, Aug. 27
Bit Reactor, Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm Games’ new turn-based strategy game “Star Wars Zero Company” releases on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Comedian Emily Wilson will perform on stage in the Baker Center Ballroom from 7-9 p.m.
Admission: Free.
Grammy winner and singer Lukas Nelson will perform in the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium from 8-11 p.m.
Admission: $35 for balcony seats, $45 for floor seats and $55 for the first 10 rows of floor seats.
The Athena Cinema will show the 2002 comedy “Amelie” on top of the Athens City Parking Garage at 8:30 p.m. with seating beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Admission: Free for students, $8 for general admission.
Friday, Aug. 28
OU’s annual block party and fireworks will start at 5 p.m. at Paw Print Park and run until 10 p.m. The event will include a DJ, food and a battle of the bands. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
Admission: Free.
Post-apocalyptic action film “The Dog Stars” releases in theaters. Animated comedy “Coyote vs. ACME” also releases in theaters.
Saturday, Aug. 29
The University Program Council will hold its welcome week drag show in the Baker Center Ballroom from 6-9 p.m. The show will include performances by Rock M. Sakura, Evelyn Everything, Kazama Knights and members of the Drag Collective.
Admission: Free.
Sunday, Aug. 30
The third episode of “Lanterns” will be available on HBO Max at 9 p.m.
Monday, August 31
The series finale of the psychological crime drama “Furious” will be available on Hulu and Disney+.
