Tommy Freeman smiled a bit bigger than usual in the post game news conference Wednesday, and for good reason.

Freeman scored a game-high 20 points and became Ohio’s all-time leader in career 3-pointers in the Bobcats’ 70-60 win against Bowling Green. He came into the game tied with Dave Jamerson, who played from 1985-1990, at 239 career 3s. Freeman’s five makes put him at 244.

It didn’t take Freeman long to set the record, as the Bobcats went to him on their first two possessions of the game. He missed his first one, but his second attempt swished through The Convo net like so many have in his career.

“When I shot the first one I kinda heard the crowd…it was nice to just get it out of the way and focus on the game,” Freeman said. “The guys did a good job of finding me tonight.”
