UPDATE: Ohio is now scheduled to play Western Michigan at 3 p.m. at Firestone Stadium.

Conditions in Akron have to remind the Bobcats of home games at the Ohio Softball Field this season. It's been wet. Very, very wet.

Showers on Friday forced Mid-American Conference officials to postpone No. 1 Western Michigan and No. 2 Ohio's semifinal match-up. The game was originally scheduled to start at 9 a.m. today but the time was pushed back to 12 p.m. and then suspended indefinitely.

OU assistant director of media relations Andy Alongi said no time is set in stone for play to resume.

Field conditions at Firestone Stadium and Akron's Lee R. Jackson Softball Field were deemed unplayable by conference officials. There is a flash flood watch for much of Northeast Ohio, including Summit County, which will be in effect until 12 a.m. Sunday.
