After six straight wins, including two against top-10 opponents, Ohio's field hockey team is starting to draw national attention.
The Bobcats (6-0) were ranked 15th in the most recent version of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Coaches Poll. Ohio had been unranked since the beginning of the season but started collecting votes as the team posted critical wins.
Ohio beat No. 6 Ohio State Aug. 31 and defeated No. 8 American Sept. 10. The team has outscored the opposition 21-4.
Since losing to the Bobcats, American has fallen to 18th in the rankings. Ohio State is no longer in the top 20.
