For the fourth time this year, the Mid-American Conference released its Player of the Week awards and one of them honored Louzeth Schutte.

However, for the first time this season, Schutte was credited for her offense and not her defense. In two games last weekend, Schutte scored three goals — two against Kent State and one against Missouri State.

The Defensive Player of the Week award went to Jessica Jue, who had not yet been honored by the MAC this year.

Neither the Golden Flashes nor the Bears scored against Ohio last weekend. The Bobcats rank second nationally in goals against average and shutouts.

They are surrendering .74 goals a game and have eight shutouts on the year.

Jue could just as easily have been awarded for her offense. She assisted on all five of Ohio's goals over the weekend, pushing her assist total to 17 this year.

Jue now holds the Ohio record for assists in a season.

With Jue's mention, five Bobcats have now been named the player of the week at least once.
