Though Ohio is still almost three weeks away from tip off, one of its leaders has been recognized for his talent.

Junior guard D.J. Cooper was listed as the 93rd best player in the country by CBSSports.com on the website's list of the top 100 college basketball players.

"Lookie here, it's another MAC player. Had a coach's-dream 44.7 percent assist rate last season, second-best in D-I," wrote contributor Matt Norlander.

Cooper has started 68 games through his first two seasons with the Bobcats. He is already 29th on Ohio's all-time scoring list with 1,050 points and is averaging 6.7 assists per game.

The only other Mid-American Conference player on the list is Buffalo forward Javon McCrea, who came in at 91st in the rankings.
