The Mountain West Conference made news during the offseason when it banned new member Boise State from wearing all-blue uniforms on its blue turf during conference games.

The conference said the uniform and turf combination could provide a competitive advantage for the Broncos. Boise State was allowed to wear blue tops as long as they were accompanied by white or orange pants.

When it was announced that Utah State, whose colors are blue and white, would be the home team for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl played on Boise's blue turf, many wondered if the Aggies would don all-blue jerseys, as they often do at home.

Regardless of how the Aggies dress, Ohio coach Frank Solich said he does not think it will be an issue.

"Utah State has a different shade of blue so I don't think it will be a factor," Solich said.

Utah State Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations Doug Hoffman agreed with Solich, and said it had yet to be determined what color pants the Aggies will wear.

"I don’t think it's even an issue," Hoffman said. "It’s a completely different shade of blue to be honest with you."
