Former Ohio quarterback Boo Jackson has found a new home to play indoor football in Ohio.

Jackson had signed to play with the Canton Cougars of the Ultimate Indoor Football League, but the team announced earlier this month that it would not be participating in the UIFL's upcoming season. That meant Jackson was free to pursue another team, and he found a home with the Marion Blue Racers.

The Blue Racers will play an 11-game schedule that includes seven contests at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, affectionately called "The Barn." The UIFL season will last 15 weeks, with each team playing four road games and having four bye weeks.

Marion opens the 2012 season at home against the Huntington Hammer on March 3. Playoffs will begin in June.

Jackson had expressed interest in staying in Ohio after Canton suspended operations for the 2012 season. Marion is about 120 miles northwest of Athens.
