A 44-21 win over the Alexander Spartans last Thursday capped the Nelsonville-York Lady Buckeyes’ regular season and conference schedules.
The Lady Buckeyes improved by three games in the Tri Valley Conference Ohio division from 2010-11 to 2011-12, finishing at 4-6 in league play. Athens and Vinton County split the TVC title after both going 9-1, with their only losses coming to each other.
With a 13-7 overall record, the Lady Buckeyes received the sixth seed in the Division III, Region 11, 2nd District sectional bracket. They will play 11th-seeded Ironton tonight at 8 p.m. at Jackson High School.
