Second-seed Ohio will face off against seventh-seeded Kent State for the third time in eight days next Friday in the first round of the Central States Collegiate Hockey League tournament, which will be held in Athens

The Bobcats, the defending tournament champions, beat Kent by scores of 9-1 and 3-1 over the weekend and swept the season series with the Golden Flashes 4-0 by a combined score of 27-4. The game is set for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff.

Fourth-seeded Iowa State and fifth-seeded Illinois will start off the first round at 1 p.m. Friday. The Cyclones took the season series over the Fighting Illini 3-1, including one shoot-out victory.

Sixth-seeded Indiana will take on third-seed Robert Morris in the day’s middle contest, tentatively scheduled to start around 4 p.m. The Golden Eagles swept the season series, including 11-1 and 10-2 victories this past weekend in Chicago.

Top-ranked Lindenwood, which went undefeated in CSCHL play during the regular season and ran away with the regular-season title by 21 points over Ohio, will have a bye in the first round.
