Ohio point guard D.J. Cooper was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week on Monday.

Cooper led all scorers with a season-high 22 points in Wednesday's win against Bowling Green. He also chipped in five rebounds and three assists. On Saturday, Cooper finished with only six points but added eight assists to pace the Bobcats' attack in a win against North Carolina-Asheville.

Cooper needs 23 more assists to break Ohio's all-time mark for that category.

Cooper picked up the award for the second time this season and for the seventh time in his Bobcat career.
