Former Ohio University quarterback Boo Jackson is used to making plays with his feet, but is not necessarily used to doing so in the kicking department.

This week, however, Jackson was named the United Indoor Football League’s special teams player of the week because of his special teams performance.

Jackson has put five of his six extra point attempts through the uprights this season for the Marion Blue Racers, which beat the Huntington Hammer 98-6 last week.

Jackson has seen moderate success with the Blue Racers (5-1) this season, ranking eighth in the league in passing average and efficiency.

In six games for Marion, Jackson has converted six of 13 pass attempts for 80 yards through the air with only one interception.

Fellow Blue Racer quarterback Josh Harris ranks third in pass efficiency and holds the fourth-best average in the UIFL.
