The Ohio Sunset Distance and Discus Classic on Friday night was the last home meet before some runners prepare for summer training and the cross country season to start in the fall.

The only two Bobcats who competed were junior Danielle Winningham and senior Abbie Selhorst.

The Ohio runners competed in the 800 and 5,000 meters-runs, respectively.

Winningham finished with a time of 2 minutes and 12.85 seconds with a personal-best record and Selhorst finished at 18 minutes and 14.70 seconds.

The two other events for the day were the javelin and discus throws, in which four athletes from Mount Union and Ohio Wesleyan competed.

"They we're just in it for a lot of fun," coach Nick Pero said.

This week, sophomore Emily Pifer will represent the Bobcats in Florida in the NCAA Regionals.
