Sophomore goalie Brittany Walker won the Mid-American Conference defensive player of the week honors for the second time this season.

Walker completed her second shutout of the year last Friday in a 2-0 victory over St. Joseph’s. Her performance this season has exceeded expectations and has allowed the Bobcats not miss a beat after losing All-MAC goalie Jen McGill.

Her .746 save percentage is second in the MAC and she leads the conference with a 1.87 goals against average.

Her play solid play will have to continue as Ohio has three games in the next five days, including contests against No. 15 Wake Forest on the road and No. 20 Michigan State.
