Through another weekend of straight-set victories, another Bobcat has received weekly honors in the Mid-American Conference East Division.

Sophomore outside hitter Chelsea Bilger was awarded the MAC East offensive player of the week Monday, after notching double-digit kills in each of Ohio’s two wins this weekend.

Friday, she recorded a season-high 17 kills and scored 17.5 points against Akron, before notching 12 kills Saturday, which led the match against Buffalo. Bilger is second overall on the team in both kills and scoring.

Bilger is the fourth Bobcat to receive MAC East weekly honors, joining sophomore outside Kelly Lamberti, sophomore middle blocker Serena Warner and freshman libero Meredith Ashy, who was week’s winner.

The Bobcats are in the midst of a five-match win streak, in which they have won all 15 sets played. Ohio will hit the road this weekend to take the court at both Toledo and Ball State.
