Ohio running stand-out Juli Accurso has been named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team this week.
According to the USTFCCCA rules, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher and have finished in the NCAA region’s top 15.
The junior won last year’s Great Lakes regional meet in a school record time of 20:01 minutes and finished in 38th place at the NCAA championships, which earned her All-America honors.
According to the news release, Accurso also maintains a 3.861 GPA.
The award is one of many the stand-out has received this year as she already has been named USTFCCCA regional runner of the year, MAC female scholar athlete of the week and MAC runner of the week.
