A pair of Ohio basketball players garnered accolades on Monday after helping the Bobcats begin 2014 on a winning note against UNC-Asheville on Saturday.
Ohio senior guard Nick Kellogg was named the Mid-American Conference East player of the week for the second time this season, while junior forward Maurice Ndour earned MAC player of the week honors from College Sports Madness.
Kellogg poured in 23 points and gathered a career best nine rebounds during Ohio’s 79-70 win this weekend.
Ndour was also critical to the Bobcats success as he added a career-best 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for his second double-double.
