I’m about to express my inner Peter Griffin, but you know what really grinds my gears? The fact that there are no collegiate fantasy sports.

I respect athletes of all levels, they all put their bodies on the line for their sport, but the simple fact that ESPN or Yahoo! Sports doesn’t create leagues specialized for college athletes, urges me the wrong way.

Some may argue that college athletes play “for the love of the sport." They aren’t paid (well, at least they aren’t supposed to be) and they work rigorous hours just to show pride for their respected school.

College basketball players actually play defense, college football players actually work out; these are human beings who put their bodies on the line just to be enshrined in their esteemed college.

Yet, we pay money and obsess over professional athletes who use steroids, play for money and don’t always go a hundred percent.

Think about this, how exciting would it be to have Greighton's Doug McDermott, Kansas' Andrew Wiggins and Arizona’s Aaron Gordon in your lineup?

Fantasy sports should not be exclusive to just professional sports, because fantasy is a good way to connect to players and get to know teams.

I’ve naturally become more interested in college sports over time, but that time could have been decreased it I had the chance to draft and play fantasy sports collegiately.

Fantasy Player of the Week:

Stephen Curry, point guard for Golden State: After a slow season start, Curry is showing why he is an All-Star, as has has scored 220 points in the past four games. Golden State has a pretty weak schedule coming up, so expect Curry to remain consistent.
