The first match of the day for Ohio saw them follow through on their goal to dominate their Sunday duals, as the Bobcats won every match vs. Gardner-Webb en route to a 38-6 blowout win. The only points for Gardner-Webb came from Ohio forfeiting the 133-pound match.

Ohio imposed its will early on, as 184-pound senior Ryan Garringer easily took care of things in the first match, winning with a 13-2 major decision. 197-pound redshirt sophomore Phil Wellington and heavyweight redshirt senior Jeremy Johnson followed up by each picking up a pin, giving Ohio an intimidating 16-0 lead after just three matches.

The biggest match of the dual was the 165-pound match, where Ohio redshirt junior Harrison Hightower was able to upset No. 20 Austin Trott with an 8-3 decision.

Ohio is currently facing Cleveland State in the final match of today's tri-match at the Convocation Center.
