Apr. 14Athens residents and other event goers participate in the 2024 Athens Marathon. Said to be Ohio’s longest running marathon, the course starts in uptown Athens before following along and passing by College Green, the Hockhocking-Adena Bikeway, and then finishing on the track at Pruitt Field.
2024 solar eclipse through the lens
Apr. 8Ohio University students and Ohio residents gather to watch the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse. Athens had a 97% totality during their peak time of 3:13pm while other parts of Ohio had a 100% totality including Cleveland, and Toledo.
