The Ohio University Army ROTC took to Peden Stadium in Athens to take on the 9/11 stair challenge, climbing up 2,071 steps to honor the steps taken by the first responders at the World Trade Center. This year marked 25 years since the attacks on September 11, 2001.

Moshing, mannequins at Slabstock '26
Aug. 31The Slab, a house venue at 10 Elliot St. in Athens, hosted Slabstock ‘26 on Saturday, its first show of the year. Nine different bands and DJ groups from around the state, including Athens, Columbus and Cincinnati as well as The Fraternals, a band from Orlando, Florida, gathered at the DIY venue for a day of moshing, music and more.
