The "Brake for Breakfast" event takes place on the first Wednesday of October every year. This is the event's fourth year in Athens, and they've had major success. They offer a free breakfast, free informational packets about cancer and they even offer mammograms on site. The event draws hundreds of volunteers wanting to make a difference and nearly 1,000 cars drive through.
