Josh Birnbaum

Josh Birnbaum, a lecturer in the School of Visual Communication, plays a tune on his mandolin in his Athens home on Jan. 23. Birnbaum recently received funding for a project that documents blugrass music culture in Appalachia, and he will be photographing on film. The funding will pay for film, developing and processing and other costs associated with film photography.
