Doogie Howser, M.D. ' This Princeton-educated prodigy navigates the worlds of medicine and girls at the tender age of 16 in this series created by Steven Bochco.
Steve Urkel ' Would Family Matters have lasted as long as it did without Urkel? Definitely not. His high-pitched, whiny voice, huge plastic-framed glasses and red suspenders endeared him to millions. He is arguably the most well-known nerd in television.
Albert Einstein ' This real-life nerd had become a well-known and influential figure in popular culture. Responsible for the general theory of relativity and specifically for the equation E=mc2, Einstein is now an nickname conveying intelligence.
Andrea Zuckerman ' Some may doubt her inclusion on this list, but Andrea was a cool nerd in her early years on Beverly Hills, 90210. She was a sweet, social, attractive nerd who defied the stereotype of the time.
