Street preachers condemn OU students

Self-described preachers Kerrigan Skelly, John McGlone and a man named Tracy demonstrated on College Green yesterday, speaking about evangelism and answering questions from students.

Skelly founded the group PinPoint Evangelism four years ago, and said that he has been preaching ever since.

McGlone added that he wanted to glorify god

deport creatures receive mercy and enter the holy kingdom of God.

The two spoke about a range of topics from Islam to abortion, at one point calling the latter a modern convenience. McGlone also accused the students gathered around him of loving drunkenness and fornication.

Jamie Franklin is an undecided freshman. She said she has seen other preachers like Skelly and McGloan in Athens before.

They're the only people I've ever heard call a woman a whore to her face

she said. And [Skelly] just told a Jew he was going to hell. I find it very offensive.

Gabriel Carnick, a freshman studying video production, described the three as ignorant and bad Christians.

This is the second year Skelly and McGloan have visited Athens. They also will appear today and said another preacher, Brother Micah, will come in two weeks.
