A room full of laughs, giggles, jokes, and coffee could only mean one thing- the Front Room ‘s comedy night is at it again.
The event’s most recent shenanigans took place this past Saturday night with a new host, Joey Skyrm, who welcomed the crowd with jokes about men with beards and his childhood fear of Santa Clause.
As the night progressed the audience listened to acts new and old. Joke topics ranged from guts, old teachers, eating babies, and even some sex jokes (that might have been a little too raunchy).
Spectators also took notice to the new camera crew located in the back of the room. The groups have begun recording Athens Open Mic and posting it online in hopes of receiving an even larger audience.
The comedians received laughs all around with each awkward, unexpected, and spunky piece of material due in part to the open minds and willingness of the full room of spectators.
The show will take place at the same time and place next week at 8p.m. There will also be a show at Jackie O’s this week, Wednesday night at 8:30p.m. with a professional comedian in the mix that shouldn’t be missed.
