Three months after an opening concert, the public arts facility ARTS/West is hosting its second major event this weekend.
ARToberfest will feature performance art, visual art, culinary art, live and recorded music, spoken word, crafts and more from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Among the entertainment will be country band the Heartlanders, the Ki-en Crew, solo musicians Matthew Brient and Missy Whaley and performance art from Abbey Krouse, Becka the Belly Dancer and Rachel the Contortionist. Tarot cards and face painting also will be available in what is being billed as a family-friendly event.
