According to the Ohio University Office of Institutional Research, 86 percent of students enrolled at Ohio University, Athens campus, are Ohio residents. The Ohio University men's ice hockey team is the exact opposite.
Only seven of the 30 players - 23 percent - are Ohio residents. Eight different states - Alaska, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah and Washington - and Ontario, Canada, are represented in the Bobcat locker room. Each player comes from a different way of life. Coach Dan Morris says this is what brings the team together.
The atmosphere in the locker room is unique because guys are from all over
but that is what they have in common Morris said. Their bond is that they are all from different places. They are all in the same boat.
