For many students, spring break conjures images of beach bumming and sun soaking. While that sounds scrumptious - especially in the midst of Athens' freezing rain - others use their spring breaks to give back.
With only a week off, organizations must thoroughly plan their trips so students can make a difference with their work, said Chirstian Clark, program adviser for Projects Abroad.
Some people can only get away during spring break
Clark said. It's a great way to do something different ... and use the vacation time to do good.
Programs are available from various on- and off-campus organizations with different price levels and goals, so students can find alternative spring breaks to suit their needs.
