Eli Roth's latest project, Hostel
was inspired by a Web site the author saw that advertised that for $10,000, the payer could walk into a room and shoot a person in the head. Roth was appropriately disturbed. His movie, however, fails to communicate the depths of human depravity to the audience. Instead, the latter part of the movie simply seems unnecessarily disgusting.
The movie begins with Paxton (Jay Hernandez) and Josh (Derek Richardson), two American guys looking for that last great adventure before law school and grad school. They meet Oli (Eythor Gudjonsson), an Icelandic drifter, and the trio traipses around Europe looking for the clich+ 17
