Some Bromley Hall residents experienced slight flooding in their rooms this morning from a faulty valve.
Mike Gebeke, director of Facilities Management, said that around 9 a.m. a broken chiller valve in the air conditioning cooling tower that sits on top of Bromley was leaking water.
“Ten rooms on the top floor were affected by the water damage,” Gebeke said in a statement. “Facilities crews responded immediately to shut off the chiller and remove water in the rooms.”
Some of the rooms experienced about four to five inches of water, but facilities crews were able to clear out all the water in the affected rooms, Gebeke said.
No one was injured from the incident and Facilities are working with the students that were impacted by the flooding to figure out exact damages to personal belongings.
