Graduate students may be on track to finding a new place to rest after a hard day’s work.
The members of Ohio University’s Graduate Student Senate announced at Monday night’s meeting that they will be looking for apartment complexes to offer housing specifically for graduate students.
During the graduate student housing assessment meeting held Friday, GSS President Tracy Kelly and other GSS body members presented their suggestions to Residential Housing Executive Director Christine Sheets and Assistant Director of Planning and Assesment Jen Maskiell.
GSS and Residential Housing will create a survey to assess graduate students’ needs and will look to form an agreement with apartment complexes such as the Carriage Hill Apartments to allocate a building or floor for graduate student-only housing.
“This is an immediate step,” Kelly said.
