On Jan. 29, the star-studded cast of the new Broadway revival of “The Rocky Horror Show” was announced.

Luke Evans stars as Frank-N-Furter. He notably played Gaston in Disney's live-action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast.”  Fans may also recognize Evans from his roles in “Fast & Furious 6” or “Dracula Untold.” Evans’ casting was announced on Oct. 29, before the rest of the cast. This will be Evans’ Broadway debut.

Stephanie Hsu is set to play Janet. Hsu was an Academy Award nominee for her role as Joy/Jobu Tupaki in "Everything Everywhere All at Once." She also played Mei Lin in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and starred in the comedy film “Joyride.” Hsu is not a stranger to Broadway, as she played the role of Karen the Computer in “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical” and Christine Canigula in “Be More Chill.”

Andrew Durand stars as Brad. Some of Durand’s most recent Broadway roles include Beau in “Shucked” and Elmer McCurdy in “Dead Outlaw.” “Shucked” was nominated for nine Tony Awards in 2023, with Durand’s costar Alex Newell being the first openly non-binary person to win Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

Amber Gray is cast in the role of Riff Raff. Gray originated the role of Persephone in “Hadestown” on Broadway. She also played Hélène in the 2016 version of “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.” Most recently, Gray was Carina in “Eureka Day” on Broadway.

Actress Juliette Lewis will make her Broadway debut as Magenta. Lewis was notably an Academy Award nominee for her role in “Cape Fear.” Some of her other well-known roles include “Husbands and Wives” and “National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez steps into the role of Columbia. Rodriguez is most known for the role of Blanca Rodriguez in “Pose.” She also played Carolyn in the 2021 film “tick, tick... BOOM!” Despite playing Angel Dumont Schunard in the “Original Off-Broadway Revival of Rent” in 2011, this will be her official Broadway debut.

Rocky is portrayed by Josh Rivera, known for his role as Sejanus Plinth in “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” and as Chino in the 2021 remake of “West Side Story.” This will be Rivera’s Broadway debut.

Harvey Guillén will be playing the dual roles of Eddie and Dr. Scott. Guillén is best known for playing the role of Guillermo de la Cruz for six seasons in “What We Do in the Shadows.”  He is also in films such as “Companion” and has done many voice acting roles. This will be Guillén’s Broadway debut.

The role of the Narrator is to be played by comedian Rachel Dratch. Dratch is most known for her time on "Saturday Night Live,” where she was featured in many iconic sketches, her most culturally influential role being the recurring character Debbie Downer.

The new revival of “The Rocky Horror Show” is to be directed by Sam Pinkleton. He has previously directed “Oh, Mary!” for which he won Best Direction of a Play at the Tony Awards. Pinkleton has also worked as a choreographer for multiple Broadway shows, such as “Amélie” and “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.”

Ani Taj will be in charge of choreography for the show. Taj has worked on previous Broadway shows such as “Dead Outlaw” and “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.” Taj also works at the Broadway Dance Center and is the founder of The Dance Cartel.

This will be the third run of “The Rocky Horror Show” on Broadway. The first was in 1975 and only lasted about a month; it had three previews and 45 showings. The second run started in 2000 and ran for two years. The second run had 437 performances and was nominated for four Tony Awards.

The show is set to premiere on March 26, with tickets for opening night already sold out.
