An unidentified male assaulted an Ohio University student and an out-of-town visitor at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in a parking lot between East Green and Riverpark Towers.
Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Service was contacted at 3:42 a.m. to respond to the incident, OU Police Department Lt. Christopher Johnson said.
The suspect physically assaulted the victims with his hands, fists and feet, but no weapons were used, Johnson said.
The suspect was described as having brown hair shaved on the sides and spiked at the top, Johnson said.
The OU student was treated at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital and released later that morning, according to a police report.
The guest was treated at the scene by SEOEMS, according to the report.
OUPD suspects the assailant is a resident of Riverpark Towers, Johnson said.
OUPD has issued a crime alert across campus and asks anyone with additional information to contact the department at (740) 593-1911.
