Fans of The Blue Gator's menu and music scene will have to wait until the end of the month to frequent their favorite restaurant and night club again.
The Blue Gator is currently closed, but Joel Schechtman, owner of The Blue Gator and Skippers Bar and Grille, said he hopes it will be open in time for homecoming weekend Sept. 26.
Traditionally, Schechtman closes The Gator at the end of August, a few weeks before the school year.-
he said. This time we closed down and haven't had all the resources to get it back open.
During the last few weeks, Schechtman has been making personnel changes'including hiring new staff members and a new chef. There might also be some changes to the menu, he added.- he said. More information will be coming soon.
