The Virgin College Mega Tour concert featuring Cake scheduled for Friday has moved from The Convo to Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium because of low ticket sales.
We looked at where ticket sales were last Tuesday and made a decision with the help of the Virgin College Mega Tour that it would be a better show if it was moved into the auditorium
said Andrew Holzaepfel, Associate Director of Public Occasions.
Since the main floor of the Convocation Center was configured much like Memorial Auditorium, transferring seats went smoothly, with everyone receiving a seat equivalent to their original, said Holzaepfel.
Someone in the second row of the main floor of the Convo will receive a second row seat at the auditorium he explained. If they had balcony seats
they will end up having better seats.
The event also includes an outdoor village with live music and interactive elements such as batting cages and autograph-signing by the bands.
The village's location is not affected by the change and will still be set up in the field across from the front four in between South Green and East Green. However, in the case of rain, the set up will move to the indoor tennis courts located next to Ping.
Tickets can be exchanged at Mem Aud's ticket office during its regular hours, Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. or at the show.
