Ohio University’s Graduate Student Senate will hold its first GradFest of the school year this Saturday.
At Jackie O’s Public House, GSS will hold GradFest at 8 p.m. Students will get free pizza and drink specials.
Graduate students will only be admitted if they are wearing a wristband, which can be obtained free of charge by going to GSS’ office in Baker 302.
Students must show their student identification cards, during open office hours Wednesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
“(GradFests) are just really fun,” said Molly Yanity, GSS vice president for finance and administration. “Graduate students can get awfully bogged down and it’s just a good night to blow off some steam.”
GSS began held about five or six GradFests during the 2011-12 school year and had about 200 graduate students at each, Yanity said.
