Students from West Elementary School were invited to campus to share free doughnuts with Ohio University students this afternoon.
The treats will be available on the third floor of Baker University Center until 1:30 p.m. today.
Char Kopchick, assistant dean of students for campus involvement, read aloud the story Homer Price by Robert McCloskey, a book by an Ohio author about an unending doughnut machine, to the elementary-school students today as a part of a Campus Involvement Center outreach program.
“This was a fun way to give back,” said Brian Heilmeier, the coordinator for campus programs in the Campus Involvement Center. “OU is always looking for ways to reach out to the community.”
