Ohio University's campus comedy show, Laughter After Dark, has returned with the help of improvisational comedy group, Black Sheep, Inc.
Laughter After Dark was canceled last November because of a lack of funding, but Black Sheep wanted to revive the late night comedy show for students looking for alternative campus activities.
We love performing and we thought that we had an audience with Laughter After Dark
said Bryan Cain, a member of Black Sheep, Inc. We have students who want an alternative to drinking on Friday nights.
The cost of Laughter After Dark was eliminated by using student performers only instead of bringing in professionals.
We used to open for the comedians but now we're the feature act Cain said.
Black Sheep, Inc. will rotate each week with OU's sketch comedy group, Comedy for the Masses and OU Stand Up Comedy Club. This week, Laughter After Dark will feature Comedy for the Masses.
Black Sheep, Inc., an 11-person group, revamped itself in September, focusing on a different style of improvisational comedy. Black Sheep, Inc. performs at 9 p.m. Thursdays in Scripps Hall. Tickets cost $2.
