I am sad to hear that Patty Mitchell will no longer be serving Passion Works as the arts director; it is such a significant loss for the studio. I recently had the opportunity, through a class project, to work with Patty and Passion Works to help coordinate an approach to recruit and retain community volunteers.
Patty came to our class to give an overview of the mission of Passion Works and to orient our class on the development of Passion Works. I, like many of you, have sat through several presentations with built-in messages, but never have I been so inspired and moved as I was by Patty's on that Saturday morning. The passion she had for the studio and the enormous amounts of hard work she's put forth in building Passion Works from the ground up was evident in her presentation.
Her dedication and passion for Passion Works will be missed, and I wish Patty the best of luck. Anyone would be fortunate to have Patty working at their side.
