Ohio University will host Senator George Voinovich Oct. 1 as the school dedicates a room in Alden Library to him.
The former senator will attend a ceremony to dedicate the George V. Voinovich Seminar Room in the library. Voinovich recently donated his senatorial papers to Alden, which spurred the dedication, according to a news release.
The papers will join other records to form the Voinovich Collection in the Mahn Center for Archives and Special Collections.
OU President Roderick McDavis and Mark Weinberg, the director of the George G. Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, will be present at the dedication ceremony, which will take place at 10 a.m. Oct. 1 in the fifth-floor Government Documents section of Alden.
