Calling the next presidential election the difference between war and peace
Michelle Obama urged young people to educate themselves about political candidates and vote, during a conference call yesterday.
Young people will be dealing with the effects of this election for the rest of their lives Obama said. A lot of campaigns haven't taken students seriously. This year we're going to turn that trend around.

She said that students should educate themselves to become informed voters by attending both OU College Republicans and College Democrats meetings if they are undecided.
Debbie Quivey, director of the Athens County Board of Elections, said that students need to make sure that they are registered to vote at their current address to avoid losing their vote.
After October 6, people who register will have to vote provisionally, which means that they will not receive a voter registration card and their voting location might be unclear, she added.
Two voting locations have changed for the upcoming election, Quivey said. Citizens who usually vote in Nelson Commons, (precinct 2 -1) and the Convocation Center (precinct 1 -5) will need to vote in the Baker Center Ballroom.
