The Avett Brothers will be the headliners for the 10th annual Nelsonville Music Festival, according to a press release from Stuart's Opera House.
Along with the announcement of the folk-rock band's headlining slot, weekend passes went on sale for the four-day festival that will be held at the campus of Hocking College.
This is not the first time the Avett Brothers have played the festival. In 2008, the band played the first weekend-long festival, according to the release.
"It's exciting for us since we had ties with them and obviously they've grown a lot," said Brian Koscho, marketing director for Stuart's Opera House. "We think it's a really good fit for our audience."
The festival wil be held May 29-June 1, 2014, and the Avett Brothers will play on Saturday, May 31.
Regular weekend passes will start at $90. Koscho said people wanting to attend the festival should buy passes now at nelsonvillefest.org, as they will be cheaper now than closer to the festival.
Previous headliners of the festival include The Flaming Lips, Andrew Bird, Cat Power and Wilco.
More acts will be announced closer to the festival, Koscho said.
