Gov. Ted Strickland will choose Ohio University’s next student trustee from a pool of four women and one man — all tied to OU’s Student Senate.
A university committee picked the finalists and forwarded their names to Strickland’s office for consideration. One will be chosen to replace Tracy Kelly, whose two-year term expires this year. Her replacement will serve alongside Chauncey Jackson, OU’s second student trustee. Neither student position has voting power, but student trustees serve on board committees and attend closed board meetings.
